Key Project Stakeholders and Teams

The Waldorf Astoria Kuwait project team combined international expertise in architecture, design, development, and hotel management to create one of Kuwait’s most prestigious luxury hotels, which opened in August 2022.

Owner/Developer: Mabanee is the leading Kuwaiti real estate developer behind the project, also known for developing and owning The Avenues Mall, to which the hotel is directly connected.
Fit-Out Contractor: Imar Interiors was the lead fit-out and finishing contractor for the Waldorf Astoria Kuwait, responsible for delivering its luxury interiors in line with the project’s high standards.
Lead Architecture & Engineering: Pace, a prominent Kuwait-based architecture, engineering, and planning firm, was commissioned to oversee the design and construction of the hotel and worked closely with global partners to deliver this landmark project.
Design & Interiors: The interior design was led by LW Design Group, known for their upscale hotel interiors

Waldorf Astoria Kuwait is a luxury 5-star hotel located in the Al Andalous district of Kuwait City, directly connected to The Avenues, Kuwait’s largest shopping mall. The hotel features 200 rooms and suites—some of the largest in the city—with opulent, modern decor and panoramic city views. Opened in 2022, it has quickly become recognized as one of Kuwait’s top hospitality destinations, earning dual Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards for its hotel and spa in its first year.

The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from Kuwait International Airport and is well-suited for both business travelers and families, offering a range of room types and services.

The design, by LW Design Group, elegantly merges classic Waldorf Astoria art deco with Kuwaiti cultural motifs, including a signature clock in the lobby inspired by the solar system.
