Sidra Medical & Research Center’s Sparkling Design Reflects Qatar’s Culture and Natural Beauty while Incorporating Nature to Promote Healing

Qatar Foundation’s Sidra Medical and Research Center combines cutting edge technology with a radiant design that both reflects and celebrates the sky. This outstanding landmark development is the first academic medical and research center in the region based on the North American model and provides the highest standards of healthcare.

SIDRA has been specially designed to be a benchmark for healing environments throughout the world. The dramatic design and landscaping include three spectacular atriums that serve as indoor healing gardens – a unique feature that all patients will be able to view from their rooms and that will allow them to benefit from fresh air during the cooler months.

SIDRA Medicine is part of Education City, a thriving international campus that brings together leading institutions and research centers including Weill Cornell Medical College, Georgetown University, Carnegie Mellon University, Texas A&M University, HEC Paris, Qatar Biomedical Research Institute, and Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute.

The specified furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) were successfully supplied and delivered by Trans Seas USA throughout the SIDRA healthcare facility, including Patient Rooms, Waiting Rooms, Lobby and Reception Areas as well as Private Offices throughout the SIDRA Medical & Research Center (SMRC). Our scope included the careful coordination and selection of designer finishes for all items, maintained the design intent with each of the specified manufacturers, arranged and accompanies factory production and inspection tours and visits with the Client Representative in North America, while responsible for procuring the items and handling the logistics for timely delivery, on budget and as specified.
