The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is the state-owned oil company of Abu Dhabi and stands as the largest oil company in the United Arab Emirates. Recognized as the world’s 12th largest oil producer, ADNOC’s operations span the entire hydrocarbon value chain—including exploration, production, storage, refining, distribution, and petrochemical development.
ADNOC’s origins trace back to the 1930s, when the first geological surveys were conducted in Abu Dhabi. The company’s foundation is closely linked to the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who recognized the transformative potential of the emirate’s oil and gas resources.
ADNOC is one of the few major oil companies investing heavily to increase production capacity despite global pressures to reduce fossil fuel output. The company continues to explore new technologies and deeper reserves, aiming to maintain its leadership in the energy sector
